Opportunity:                    

Morgan Sindall are growing the team to work across a portfolio of projects on the Eastern Routes Partnership with Network Rail. The Eastern Route Partnership comprises a large portfolio of Civils works during Control period 7 (CP7) with enhancement projects, Access for All schemes and structure renewals projects all part of the portfolio.

  

The scope of the work varies across the framework however it is expected that the scope will comprise of construction, repair and refurbishment of station buildings, construction & refurbishment of platforms, footbridges, lifts, car parking areas and all associated ancillary and M&E works – lifts, cable route works, plant. It is anticipated that the scope will also comprise of structure works to overbridges, underbridges and footbridges including repair, refurbishment and replacement.

 

The works are located across Network Rails Eastern, East Midlands and Anglia areas with the initial volume of works being based near Bedford.   

The CRE will report into the Engineering Manager and work with the Engineering team to cover the following disciplines:

  • Design Change Management – assessing designs for change against tender or previously approved issue
  • Quality Management (assisting the quality team)
  • Engineering Assurance (working with the Engineering Management (CEM) team)- producing engineering deliver
  • Temporary Works – ideally TWC role, or assisting the TWN is producing TW briefs, updating the TW register, inspection TW items on site

Rail experience desirable.

This role would suit an ambitious, driven individual who embraces the challenge of working within a high performing and supportive team. Experience within the civil engineering industry is essential for this role, ideally coming from a main contractor background.
