Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is thrilled to announce its outstanding achievement in receiving two, highly commended recognitions at the 2023 Women in Nuclear (WiN) Awards. This is a brilliant recognition of our ongoing commitment to achieving inclusion, diversity, and gender balance within our organisation, and the nuclear industry.
Claire Morfoot, SHEQS Manager at Morgan Sindall Infrastructure within its Nuclear business unit, and a dedicated committee member of WiN since May 2019 and Regional Lead of WiN Cumbria since April 2022, was highly commended in WiN's Champion of the Year category. Claire's exceptional leadership and relentless advocacy for gender inclusion led to her well-deserved recognition.
"I am very passionate about ensuring everyone has equality at work and elsewhere in their life. Having this formally recognised drives me to do even more”
Claire said: “It was a great surprise and honour to receive the highly commended award from WiN UK in recognition of the work I do. I am very passionate about ensuring everyone has equality at work and elsewhere in their life. Having this formally recognised drives me to do even more”.
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure's commitment to inclusion and diversity was celebrated for a second time during the awards, after being recognised as highly commended in the Chartered Signatory of the Year category. Establishing the Nuclear Inclusion and Diversity Steering Group was a key initiative that propelled us to achieve this award. The group brings colleagues from across the Nuclear Business Unit together to play a pivotal role in informing, participating in, sharing, communicating, and providing feedback on inclusion and diversity efforts.
Jude Ball, project manager and a member of the inclusion and diversity group said: “We are all incredibly proud of this brilliant acknowledgment of the impact we have made across our organisation, however, we know there is more that can be done. We will continue challenging industry norms and promoting gender balance through innovative practices, collaboration, and supportive policies.
These achievements reinforce Morgan Sindall Infrastructure's position as a leader in the nuclear industry, inspiring positive change and creating a more inclusive environment for all.
Congratulations again to all that have contributed to this fantastic result.
