The six-year programme, which is worth £3.6bn, will see delivery partners working across multiple Lots to carry out vital renewals on England’s motorways and A-roads.
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure was selected for the General Civil Engineering Central Region and will work in collaboration with National Highways to continue providing exemplar safety, delivery and customer service for road users.
Simon Smith, managing director of Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, said: “Securing a place on the SDF further strengthens our position as a leading provider to National Highways. We’re looking forward to collaborating alongside our partners to help deliver on National Highways’ decarbonisation, sustainability and environmental ambitions.”
National Highways’ acting executive director for operations, Duncan Smith, said: “This marks the start of a new way to keep the country's motorways and major A-roads in top condition by delivering the largest and most comprehensive renewals programme we have ever embarked on”.
“The SDF will allow us to deliver these vital activities, ensuring the Strategic Road Network remains safe and serviceable, so road users can continue enjoying the benefits of smooth, reliable journeys.”
The SDF builds on Morgan Sindall Infrastructure’s existing National Highways portfolio which includes motorway upgrade schemes and the Concrete Roads Framework which was awarded earlier this year.
