Companies attend Cumbria event to showcase green alternatives to traditional plant and equipment

Our Nuclear business has recently held its first Green Plant Day in Cumbria in collaboration with our supply chain family. The event showcased new and exciting alternatives to traditional plant and equipment as part of our drive to achieve net-zero carbon emissions.

The event demonstrated the equipment available to help us achieve our environmental goals. Technologies on display included a range of electric plant and vehicles, battery-operated equipment and solar-powered lighting.

Items on display at Morgan Sindall Infrastructure's first Green Plant Day

As a responsible business, we believe in delivering positive change through protecting and developing our people, improving the environment, working together with our supply chain and enhancing the communities in which we operate.

The event showcased what is ready and available to help key stakeholders and customers achieve their environmental goals with technologies on display including a range of electric plant and vehicles, battery-operated equipment and solar-powered lighting. Members of the Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Nuclear team and supply chain were also in attendance to answer questions about the application of this equipment.

Alongside the equipment that has been used on our site already, it is exciting to see new and emerging technologies on show. We’re delighted to see Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and their supplier partners taking such a positive step towards our wider mission to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.”

One supplier who attended the event commented: “This was a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our products and introduce new technologies and solutions, we are happy to have been a part of this important event. Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has always been leading the way to reduce on site carbon emissions. This event is a prime example of the commitment they have to push sustainability across their business. We were thrilled to have the chance to meet so many people who are passionate about sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint. It was inspiring to see so many individuals and organisations coming together to support the transition to renewable energy sources.”
